It all began one fall day in the Nation's Capital...
Veronique MacRae, a former team member of Iron Chef Jose's Garces' The Rural Society in Washington, DC and former Executive Chef of The Potter's House in Adams Morgan and David "DC Dave" Johnson, an experiential marketing expert representing clients such as Coca-Cola, Stella Artois and The MacCallan with a background in culinary management, desired to create food options that were fresh, flavorful and fun with special attention to the sourcing of ingredients and flavor combinations.   
From their conversation one fall evening in 2013, The Tasty Alternative was born.  A catering and gourmet chef service company providing modernized and elevated versions of classic comfort dishes along with a variety of cuisine offerings with a global twist.
Each dish is built with the foundation of quality ingredients and each client is treated with the utmost respect in hopes of creating not only superb food but also a memorable experience.
The Tasty Alternative now serves clients in the Greater Washington, DC Metro area (Washington, DC, Maryland, Northern VA).  Out-of-area services are available upon request.
