It all began one fall day in the Nation's Capital...
 

Veronique MacRae, a former team member at Iron Chef Jose Garces' The Rural Society in Washington, DC, former Executive Chef at The Potter's House in Adams Morgan, and the Executive Chef and Creative Director of The Tasty Alternative, who was also featured on Cutthroat Kitchen on the Food Network, joined forces with David "DC Dave" Johnson, President of Marketing & Brand Strategy for The Tasty Alternative, who represented top brands like Coca-Cola, Stella Artois, and The Macallan in the experiential marketing field.
 

 

With a shared passion for creating food that is fresh, flavorful, and fun, they set out to focus on high-quality ingredient sourcing and bold flavor combinations.

 

In 2013, The Tasty Alternative was born—offering modernized, elevated versions of classic comfort dishes alongside a variety of global cuisine options.
 

 

Each dish is built on the foundation of quality ingredients, and every client is treated with the utmost respect to ensure not just superb food but an unforgettable experience.
